music then male with "This is Radio Romania International. You are listening to our half hour broadcast in English for listeners in Western
Europe on 7305 and 9655 khz...." // Excellent signal strength.

15205 khz. || 1600 UTC || BSKSA Holy Quran || 500 kw || Riyadh, Saudi Arabia || Male chanting followed by pause then male announcer
all in presumed Arabic. ID from EiBi. || Very strong signal.

13630 khz. || 2130 UTC || Radio Australia || 100 kw || Shepparton, Australia || Female with news headlines ending with "Radio Australia
news." Into 'The Breakfast Club' with the word of the day. || Good signal bothered by occasional fading.

08-Jun-09:
15275 khz || 2359 UTC || Radio Thailand || 250 kw || Udon Thani, Thailand || About one minute of white noise then carrier appeared
followed very shortly by time pips then male with "This is Radio Thailand, English language service." Into female with "Good morning, this
is Radio Thailand's News Hour for Tuesday, June 9, 2009." Signal became stronger over the next 30 minutes. Clear ID at 0013: "You're
listening to Radio Thailand news." Abrupt drop in signal strength at 0030 (presumed beam heading switch). || Thanks to Brian Alexander for
posting his log of this station on 5-Jun-09 which prompted me to try for it.

signal.

7200 khz. || 0258 UTC || Rep. of Sudan Radio || 100 kw || Omdurman, Sudan || Man chanting in presumed Arabic to top of the hour.
Male announcer then chimed in also in presumed Arabic followed shortly thereafter by time pips. ID from Brian Alexander/EiBi. || Good
signal bothered by slight ham QRM. Thanks to Brian Alexander for posting his log of this station on 5-Jun-09 which prompted me to try for
it.

3810 khz. (LSB) || 0456 UTC || HD2IOA Time Station || 1 kw || Guayaquil, Ecuador || Time pips with male announcing time every
minute in Spanish. || Signal not too bad but fighting it out with lots of QRN. Thanks to Martin Foltz for posting his log of this station on 20-
Apr-09 which prompted me to try for it.

15785 khz. || 2355 UTC || Galei Tzahal, Israeli Defense Forces Radio || 10 kw || Lod, Israel || Very mellow sounding dude (speaking in
presumed Hebrew) serving up cool music: 'Up On The Roof' (The Drifter's), 'Green Onions' (Booker T. & M.G.'s) among others. Into brief
female then male talk, TOH time pip, then female with presumed news. After the news, into a replay of 'Green Onions'. || Pretty good signal
strength // 6973 khz. Thanks to Don Jensen for making me aware of this station via a posting in the July '09 edition of The NASWA Journal.

15720 khz. || 0159 UTC || Radio New Zealand International || 100 kw || Rangitaiki, New Zealand || End of someone's cover of 'Billy
Don't Be A Hero', TOH time pips, then into "Radio New Zealand news. It's 2 o'clock." This was followed by a programming update "...on
Radio New Zealand National" and then a wx report for New Zealand. A 'Band on the Run' musical bridge then led to the beginning of the
'Arts On Sunday' program. || Excellent signal strength.

04-Aug-09:
11990 khz. || 1758 UTC || Radio Kuwait || 500 kw || Kabd, Kuwait || Middle Eastern music (female singing) followed by female talking in
presumed Arabic, then presumed national anthem. Time pips at TOH, then male in English with "This is Radio Kuwait. The time now is 9
pm Kuwait local time, 1800 GMT." The national anthem (presumed) was then played again followed by male with frequency
announcements in English. || Excellent signal.

11780 khz. || 2359 UTC || Radio Nacional Amazonia || 250 kw || Brasilia, Brazil || Romantic sounding ballad followed by male with a
listing of Radio Nacional outlets then into presumed news. Several mentions of Brazil and Brasilia. All in presumed Portuguese. || Good signal
with occasional fading.

24-Oct-09:
6925 khz. (AM) || 2111 UTC || MAC Radio (pirate) || Unknown power || Unknown location || The Paul Star Show with oldies music
including ‘Little Bit of Soul’, ‘Love Potion #9’, ‘Turn, Turn, Turn’ and ‘Dancing in the Street’. Frequent Paul Star Show and MAC ID’s,
good jingles. A pretty good show! Into the Johnny Guitarman Show. || Very good signal into northern Delaware.

9-Nov-09:

male with station ID: "Huna Nouakchott...Mauritaniya." Continued talking until abrupt sign-off at 0103 UTC. || Fair to good signal with some
